I don't think you over paid for what you got at all - the machine with all the extras would be $300+ easily in most parts of the country - the table, I have only ever seen them on this board, so as a bit of a rarity commands a good dollar. It's a lovely set up and you are all set to go - enjoy it!
You only get to go around once in life so you better make the most of it while you can, if it makes you happy and doesn't hurt anyone then go for it!

I am with JMCDA. With all the bits and pieces that you got for a clean, ship-shape machine and add in the table and a non-smelly box, I would say you did pretty good on this. The fact that your husband encouraged you to buy it is an added bonus. Smile when you sew with her and know that you got a nice deal. Plus, now you can stop hunting for one. Oh and in FL, you are lucky she was not starting to rust out. Enjoy!!!!!
