I know it may look like Grissnell but it is Grinnell....I have been interpreting antique documents for almost 20 years....the past 5 for the Family Search Project. So I'm pretty confident. :)

I believe it's the same Hebert B. Grinnell mentioned in the second column of this document's page. H.B. is one of the three Grinnell brothers involved in with Singer:

That's why I stay away from collecting all the ephemera that goes with sewing. Now you get to add picture framer to your list of skills. Actually a bit more than that because you're going to want to mount to museum standards with acid free everything so you don't damage the documents. Not a bad thing to learn, just more skills and equipment. Start shopping for an antique miter trimmer- you'll like those.
