301A for $175, is that a good price???

I stopped by my local sewing machine shop b/c I saw the 301 sitting in the window as we by the other day. Not sure how I spotted it but I did:thumbup: She is asking $175, comes with case and 2 boxes one of the a darning foot. It has been serviced and ready to go.

Thanks for all your help.

She said she would drop the price a bit b/c I am a good customer!!

It's been serviced so it already saved you $85 - go for it

I would imagine it also comes with some sort of warranty, probably 30 days...but ask for that. Most dealers will give you some sort of warranty with used machines. You won't be sorry getting a 301.

Thanks ladies for all your help I appreciate it. I was thinking it was a little high b/c compared to eBay they seem to run about $100. But I have been hearing that a lot of people are getting machines that were in worse off condition then described. So getting a machine thats been service and I know works is worth the money!
!!

Yes, lots of "cheaper" ebay machines arrive damaged or missing the bobbin case (which can cost upwards of $50). So these bargains are not such good bargains. I would ALWAYS pay a bit more for a local machine that I'm certain is working and from a trusted source than an unknown seller via ebay. Plus you can have it right away and not have to wait for shipping :>

That's about what I paid for the one I bought on ebay without shipping. I had to have her serviced as well. So you will be saving shipping charges and the service fee. If you get her, I don't think you will be sorry to have her.

Does it have attachments and bobbins with it too?
