I think tomorrow will be another big mail day. :)
I am very impressed by seeing so many people stepping up to support this effort.
Thank you!

I am tickled pink to do my part. I am 16- year survivor of a stroke. I got back to hand work quickly....not perfect but it was done. It just takes practice and determination. Best wishes on a quick recovery.

Rodney,
Has the mail truck been by yet? I have this vision of the mailman wanting to get your house over with first at least for a few days or worse having to make a special run just to your house...

I can't agree more. Caleb is overwhelmed and tickled pink. I told him about it when he called this morning to say they are going to do an evaluation today and she might go home. He's pretty excited about that. She will need more help with her left hand. She is working very hard to get it back. She doesn't have much stamina when it comes to walking yet but she is getting around.

That's so great to hear Miriam. It just brightened up my day considerably. Wonderful.

Good news, Miriam. And GailG, that is encouraging news to read about your recovery, too.

Package sent! Expect the UPS person tomorrow.

This has been a wonderful positive counterbalance to the difficulties in the rest of my life right now. I love helping.

Ok, I am late on board, but I will get a block done tonight and mail it tomorrow!

Thank you all!
Miriam that's great news! The mailman gets here around 11:00 or so but Olivia likes to get the mail so I'm waiting for her to get home from school. We sit down and open the packages together.

I told them about the quilt they both choked up when I told them. Then when I told them some of you were sending your first squares they lost it. They are so honored. She might be on the way home or it might be a while yet. We haven heard yet and that may be good news. She has progressed well in the last week and they expect a full recovery. She is very pleased that it has not been what they expected.

I'm glad that you told them about the quilt...it gives them something else to look forward too...hope she gets to go home really soon.
