Black Singer Tin

3 Attachment(s)
Hi folks, come across this Singer Attachment Tin and wondered if any of you know of the approximate date this would be and what accessories it would of held. Unable to find something the same on google images so far. Also had an original Singer Bias Gauge inside so $5 well worth spent i say.

Have no idea of the date but I would have swooped that up for $5 in a heartbeat! Love it!

Yeah, was a no-brainer at that price....bias gauge alone would cost more to buy here. There was also a Singer Stiletto in there too, just needs a little repair before being put back into use https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/thumbup.png

The singer stiletto would be more exciting for me than the bias gauge. I have several of the bias gauges, but just a couple of the stilettos. Does the stiletto have a looped handle or does it look like wire wrapped straight handle?

I have some tins from other machines, but not a Singer tin. I originally thought that only German and China had early tins. Upon further research, I found http://needlebar.org/main/puzzles/index.html and http://needlebar.org/nbwiki/index.ph...utside-Tin.jpg and http://needlebar.org/nbwiki/index.ph...ach-in-Tin.jpg

Most of the tins that I have seen have hardware to hold the various pieces in. It also looks like perhaps yours has been relined rather than original fabric. It also looks like an match box partially opened to fill the space of bottom. Another tin with hardware can be seen at https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...x-t311377.html

Just remembered that the 24-50 had a tin as seen on page 40 of http://www.maquinasuniao.com.br/wp-c...-50,%20-51.pdf

Still a very neat box.

Have fun filling it with appropriate attachments.

Hiya, the Stiletto has the looped handle (joint needs to be re-soldered...easy fix though). Haven't seen a wrapped Stiletto personally.
As for the Tin, I'll check out the links (much thanks). Haven't been able to find a matching tin so far. The lining looks, feels and smells original to me when comparing to other tins with the purple fabric, it's just the inside layout that confuses me mostly as can't find one similar. Part of the enjoyment (& frustrating at times) is trying to down missing info, again thx https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/thumbup.png
