You all on the board sparked me to spend over an hour up in our attic moving my MIL's old sewing cabinet around enough to get this baby out. can anyone help me identify. And, do you think it is worth having a repairman look at it to get it up and running? I am so excited. Her name is Annie after my MIL who passed years ago. I think she would love it if I used her machine! Old, old cabinet with it but I left in attic until I see what I can do with the machine.
Thanks all! |
it is worth having someone to look at it, if it works what joy,
it may only need a good clean and oiling, looks very much like one I had many years ago. |
She's lovely! I think she's worth the effort.

Definitely worth the effort to fix and use. I like the name :)

By all means have a qualified repairman have a looksee. The stiches she will produce are a thing of beauty. Good luck.

What is the serial number? That will tell her age and maybe her identity.
|
what a treasure, I hope it all works out for you.

I think you and Annie could have a lot of fun together :D:D:D

is it a 301? I would definately get it running, check the wiring and bring the cabinet down

If the cord isn't frayed, give her a good cleaning and oiling and fire her up to see if she runs. If the cord shows signs of wear then by all means, have someone that knows what they're doing replace it.
