I would't have any trouble taking a machine apart. It's knowing what to do with all those extra parts when I put it back together :( I'm glad some people out there know where all the parts go. I'll take my machine to them. Thumbs up to all those brave enough to learn!

This is the first I have heard of a race wick. Are these used in other machines besides the 66?

Well, the 99 too since it is just a 3/4 size version of the 66!

Yes, I believe the Singer 99 are also on this list.

When I got my 66, and saw the wick, I thought it was a giant piece of lint.. I tried my darndest to get it out, and it wouldn't budge. I'm glad it was more stubborn than I am..

This is funny because today I posted a new thread post on this tutorial and this thread now shows up. Here is the link to today's thread: http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...a-t238542.html

I have everything apart but I cannot figure out how to remove the Bobbin assembly ejector unit, because the pin is not visibly obvious to me. Thank you
