Coronado Super zigzag Sewing Machine

Hello :) I have a Coronado Super Zigzag Model SAZ (Japan) sewing machine and I am needing help...please....I redid all that I could since it was sitting in the garage for years and my only issue no I it isn't catching an I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong...can anyone help with this or info on the machine itself?

We need to see a picture of it to help you. Japanese Coronado machines were built by at least two manufacturers.

Welcome Chaaaa

We like pictures :) not only to see the different machines, but also be able to help. They usually need to be resized to be able to post.

I'm taking a guess that it might look like the one in post #134 of https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...t207880-6.html
If you do not have a manual and that is like your machine you can find a manual that will help at at http://www.singerco.com/support/instruction-manuals and put "W231" (without the quotation marks) in the search box.

If yours is like the machine linked to - Is the needle inserted with the flat side of the needle on the right side and are you threading the needle from left to right? Also, is the bobbin threaded correctly and seated correctly under the spring?

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Is the needle inserted correctly? Some fave you...others are side to side.

Like Janey said, the needle goes in flat side to the right and threads left to right. When you put the bobbin in the case make sure the thread is coming off the bobbin clockwise, then pull it back up into the slot and around the bobbin case tension spring.
