coronet treadle
I have an opportunity to own a Coronet treadle machine with a coffin case, with key. Serial # L226807
Can anyone tell me anything about this machine??? |
Need a picture but Standard, Davis and others might have made your Coronet. Davis Model L looks similar to this: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stor...sewing-machine but the stitch length is on the pillar and the bobbin winder tire is in contact with the inside of the handwheel. This would be my best guess for the Coronet.

I have found little on the Coronet. I found one site that mentioned it's maker may be Standard, but so far no other info.
The current owner is asking $60........ I'm still hopeing to find out more about this model Thank you for the link.. I will take a look at it. |

I finially got pics uploaded
I haven't gone to look at it yet in person.... I can see some cabinet damage on the right edge and on the left front..... |
It's a Davis Model L made in the very early 1900's and only for a few years. The original needle is obsolete but can be replaced with modern industrial. I believe Coronet was a chain of Variety Stores.

Needs a little TLC and it will be beautiful. Love the coffin top.

I have several treadles and one is a coffin top...I really do not like the coffin tops...you can not use them for a regular table or show off the machine since the top needs to go some where....I am very close to selling mine...

carolaug,
Please send the unwanted coffin top machine to: "JMillers home for unwanted treadles". 1234 S Wishful Thinking Lane Springfield, IL 67890 J :D e |
Very pretty. I could live with that minor cabinet damage.
