Crown 770
 

Tried downloading some photos of a friend's Kenmore Crown 770 Serial # FZ9042545. Just trying to get some information on it. Have Googled it to no avail. She bought it in 1956. She was having trouble with it but it has been fixed. Any information you can give me will be appreciated. Nice machine. She has never used the cams they are still in the original box but she can't find the manual.

The name "Crown" isn't one of the main manufactures, so it's likely that "Crown" is a badge name. Without pictures, there is no way to guess who may have made it or anything about it. BTW- Kenmore didn't use the name "crown", they used Kenmore in the 1950's - and that serial number doesn't match what Kenmore was using around that time frame. Though sometimes people find a number and it's not the serial number, but some other part number.

BTW - some sources have that in 1956, Sears was getting machines from White , Soryu, New Process Gear and other misc companies - but none of them have serial numbers that would have started with a FZ.

I hope that explains why without pictures, there isn't much help that can be provided.

Going to try again to download the photo or atleast one.

Will love to see pictures - am very curious to see what this machine is! Sometimes they are real surprises, not at all what one expects.
