I found this awesome machine, who would ever think they would have made a machine like this. It doesn't have a wooden base, so my dh is going to make a base for it. And don't you know I am going to dress the base up a bit?
Have any of you heard or seen this machine before? I know its 1955

Pretty!

pstoner 04-09-2011 05:35 AM

Oh she's so pretty!!!

Lostn51 04-09-2011 05:50 AM

I do not have one but they are the neatest little machine to have. You can take the sides off and expose the inner skeleton of the machine.

Yours is a really nice example and I would love to have one if I could find one. They were made in Japan if I remember right and were shipped abroad. And if I remember right they were made from aluminum. Like I said you do not see these everyday so I will have to do a little background research for you.

Lol.. I asked my mother a while back what she ever did with her featherweight. She said....the motor just went out one day so I just pitched it in the TRASH!!! I told her, from now on don't throw anything sewing related in the trash again without calling me first.lol Then the other nite she tells me she still has her toy singer sewing machine that she had when she was a little girl. I said. OKAY MOM...DO NOT THROW THAT IN THE TRASH!!!...LOL Bless her heart.

I have a machine that looks just like yours but it's called a Dynamic. It also comes apart. It is as big as the Singer Featherweight. It has made in Japan on it. Came in a case. I call her Dinah. She sews really nice but a little noisy.
Trish

I love this machine! Thanks for posting it so we can see her, now I have something to work with. I just thought the company made them for "Cindy-rella" as my daughter used to say, but now I know they were badged for others.

I just wanted to say...my CINDERELLA machine arrived today!!! And I just can't tell you how truly gorgeous she is.
The picture doesn't do her justice. She is so shiny and all of her decals are perfectly in place. While I was unwrapping the packing i kept taking tiny breathes, cause I just couldn't believe my eyes. So if you ever see one. i would highly recomend this machine. And best yet. She still works! My husband even said he would like to put her in a showcase in the livingroom.lol
