I have a good housekepper model 205 and am wondering where and what kind of bobbin holder I should get. Im at a loss and have exhausted all logical internet searches. your picture does not show the "important" part. It's class 15, easy enough, but it is left or right hook.

So you need to look at that little notch at the top

Oh wait, your machine missing that part, you need a bit more than just the bobbin case.

You need these pieces to make this machine work. Though these are Singer, but you get the idea. Yours has the swing clips to hold the retainer in place, so you'll need to look for that style retainer, Singer had a different type (it's the lower middle piece with the screw)

your best bet will be to check out goodwill and thrift for a machine with the bobbin assembly similar to yours that has the parts - and swap them out. It does not have to have the same name on the front, and may even look very different on the top side, but that won't matter as long as these parts fit.

I had one very similar, the badge says Dressmaker. Macybaby showed you the right bobbin case. It is common, get the parts she shows. A local sewing shop may have parts machine they can get them from. I have a .pdf copy of the manual I can email to you. PM me with your email address and I will get it to you. I am just heading out of town so it could be a couple of days.

It is more likely to be a right bobbin holder than a left. You will need to get the larger needle slot since it is a zig zager. I would check with sew-classic for a bobbin case - I think you are looking at less than $10. She also has attachments. (you will need to determine if you have short shank or long shank) Then she has decent bobbins.

Cathy, as usual I nearly always learn something from your posts. I did not know or even think to check for a left or right hook on the class 15 bobbin case. Thanks so much for this information. It will go into my sewing machine info file.

Usually it would be Singer with a left hand bobbin case but Singer also uses the right and on the same models.

Welcome aboard! Looks like Cathy has you covered. Unfortunately it's more than just the bobbin case that's gone. That makes the search a little more difficult, but not impossible.

Since it's an end loader she doesn't need the wide slot bobbin case. The whole hook assembly moves back and forth with the needle so the needle only enters one spot in the bobbin case.
