cabbagepatchkid 02-22-2012 06:16 PM

I'm sure someone will be able to help you with finding the bobbins but I just wanted to say "WELCOME" :) to the forum.
That machine is gorgeous!!!!!!

Painiacs 02-22-2012 06:22 PM

welcome!! hope u find them

Charlee 02-22-2012 06:29 PM

Welcome!! You have a beautiful machine!

In spite of the "White Peerless", it appears from the needle chart on ISMACS that this machine is made by AG Mason. It takes a 20x1 needle, which is obsolete, but can be found on the Internet. There are those that believe AG Mason is nothing more than a badged White, but AG Mason was a company of it's own accord until 1916, when it was absorbed by White. (I'm going on memory, so that may not be 100% accurate as to the date)

Do you have any bobbins for the machine at all?

barny 02-22-2012 06:29 PM

welcome from Texas. You have a beautiful machine and someone will help you I'm sure very soon.

Grandma Peg 02-22-2012 06:31 PM

valleyquiltermo 02-22-2012 06:36 PM

Welcome from Missouri USA, your machine is lovely. Charlee is usually pretty good at these older machines.

and this is wikipedia: i'm quite confused:shock: what you say? thank you:o
( links and photos, only main are in the same order. in the machine the space for bobbin, for put thread is 3 cm and shutlle seems 5. the number of machine isv P33202

Charlee 02-22-2012 07:24 PM

From what I can find, you need a Singer 20x1 needle, which translates to the BOYE 12, and I'm not positive about the shuttle yet, but think a BOYE 11 shuttle will work in your machine.
Bobbins are more forgiving, and any bobbin that is completely encased in the shuttle should work.

viavillecinque 02-22-2012 07:43 PM

thank you for translating for me some cabalistic word! now I' m searching. I saw your blog. a little

"Vibrator" simply means a machine with a vibrating shuttle like yours.

I'm sure that you want the wooden tube that has a "12" on the end for the needles, but am not confident of the shuttle. Maybe one of the others will be able to help. :)

you are quite right I fall in love for the little tube, but I'm trying to resist, because last week I bought some wide tubes.....but I didn't understand clearly if you say me to buy the shuttle in the photo, that is obviously the most expensive, and it is in auction. I don't like auctions... there is some phrase below, written in blue : A tube in include but does not say #11. I have, I think 10 tubes that are in the way, in the ocean.I need the shuttle, because perhaps I found bobbins, I'm not sure, but they are 3 cm.
must I buy that bobbin #11, you say?

and what about this one?

Up For Auction Is This Nice Old Antique Damascus Treadle Sewing Machine Shuttle. Shuttle is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs. Shuttle measures 2" long with the opening measuring 3/8" wide.

you tell my to buy the first? thank you:o

ah. I forgot to post the video: I can't understand all, but it seems the shuttle is not right:

Hello and welcome to the Quilting Board. Hope you find the answers you are seeking.

Glenn 02-23-2012 12:48 PM

Yes the White Peerless does take the 20x1 Boye #12. As for as the shuttle the BSII and the BSI have diff shuttles. If you contact Kathy at [email protected] she has all the answers for you. She has done lots of research on this machine. Also this lady at [email protected] may have the shuttle and bobbins you need. Give kathy the date and any info and she can tell what shuttle it takes. Then go to the bstevens and order them

viavillecinque 02-23-2012 02:14 PM

oh thank you all!:o
it seems to travel by the sewing machine...

Glenn 02-23-2012 03:10 PM

There is a lot of info on her site on Webshots http://community.webshot.com/user/arachnesobession.

viavillecinque 02-23-2012 04:06 PM

a very interesting site, a lot of images, and the manuals! thank you. I see also you live in an ancient home that you restored. it must be beautiful. ciao

Glenn 02-23-2012 04:15 PM

Please do not download the manuals since the copy righted, please contact her for any info you need she is very helpful. Yes my home is very old and my wife and and I are always working on it. I sew with my White Peerless all the time and it will piece a quilt with the best of them. She may even send you a copy of the manual if you are very nice and interested, LOL. You will love this little HC.

thank you. yes I noticed there was written don't download and I respect her work, that is very good, and she loves these things. I saw some people downloaded, I think it is very bad-mannered, when now we have all the computers we need, and even too much. but the internet is similar to the rest of the world, only, now, it is so important. you know, here is night, but I can communicate with the others.
I'm very glad you sew quilt with your white peerless, because a beautiful machine can keep good company to a beatiful quilt. and so a beautiful house. in these last times , on internet, for re-discovering sewing, (I am near zero), and knitting (better) I noticed a great interest in US, for these arts, and great fantasy and workmanlike, right word? oxford dictionary. here it's different, very different. shops have very few fabrics, and not good.
when I was a girl, in these little town you could find a lot of things...

now I post a group of shuttle, etc . that an ebay seller purposed to me. you say .......
your next post will be 1000th

Glenn 02-23-2012 05:02 PM

The bobbins are the same but my shuttle is different. If You need In the Morning I will post pics of my shuttle for you. I really like the White Peerless.
