No, they demonstrated it when I bought the machine back in the '70s, but I never tried it. I sewed as a teenager, but when real life started, I pretty much gave it up. I only sewed a few things and hemmed a few pairs of slacks over the years. So, I really have not had a need for a chain stitch. I still have all the bits that came with it though.
