If there is not time pressure on you, check the ISMACS site for model & serial # info. look at a picture of one & be sure there is not a part missing. Is there supposed to be a clamp for holding it down ? if buying for later resale, it must be pristine condition for collectors. for yourself, you can ignore a few scratches.

Yes, yes, yes. Place it on a small table with a pretty piece of fabric that coordinates with your room and a lamp so that it will be highlighted in the evenings. I think it is lovely and will be worth a lot more than $50 in the future.
