hilton model 766

Can anyone help with instructions on how to thread this type of machine. I have had this machine for46. yrs.
I need an instruction manual, does anyone know where I can get one?

lyjg47,

Just the name and model # isn't enough information for us to help much. There were sooooo many machines with multiple brand names imported that it could be most any design. If you could post a couple clear complete pics it would help a bunch to ID it.

Welcome to the board and I agree with Joe. Some brands like Singer we might know the machine just by the model but most brands a picture is the only way to know for sure.

Can you post a picture. It is very likely that is a Japanese made machine. Here is a place to start:

It is also likely that it is one that will do zig zag. Link:

Some will do fancy stitches - they use cams or cam stacks - link:

I used to have a Hilton about that long ago....I don't recall it being unusual to thread. Most machines are pretty standard....I thought it was made by White. It was a great machine, metal, not plastic and the salesman came to the house to demo it and sewed through a yardstick.....it came with a cabinet and only cost $125.
