I scrutinize the photos very closely on those kinds of auctions. Some I go for, some I don't. :D

Nice haul! I love the goodie boxes but with no local pick up points I have to pay close attention to the shipping.

I was outbid.

Congratulations Joe. That was a great buy

Congratulations, Joe. I guess I am going to try to figure out how to watch for goody boxes. My son is good to bring me his "hauls" from the local estate auctions and storage lots, but this looks great. You really scored on that one.

Shipping included, we got a steal. Even if we threw the rest away and just kept the parts that will fit our machines, we're still ahead. Joe |

FAMOUS BUTTON HOLLER PICS for MacyBaby:

Joe, that is how I feel with shipping. Gas isn't cheap, plus the time it takes to get something. My main concern with getting items shipped is the potential for damage. For things unlikely to be damaged, I'd rather pay shipping and have it come to my door.
And for when we're not home - DH built a drop box. Our mail lady loves it! http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps2bd2200a.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps077a68f2.jpg |
Cathy,
Love that drop box. Does each delivery service have their own key, or how do you work that out? Joe |
I have three Famous buttonholers.
This is an earlier one - it comes with plates that fit both the 27 and 15 machines. I believe the needle plate goes on top of the regular feed dog plate. I know that is how some of the others I have are suppose to work. Ok- I suppose I could go read the directions - but what fun is that? http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psdb10c4d2.jpg This one also came with the hole cutter with three knives. And that is part of the original set. I don't have original directions for this one, but I've seen them that show the knife on the parts sheet. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psf50bc5b2.jpg This one is for White Rotary model C. I think the only difference is the feed dog cover plate . . . but since I don't have a VS one, I'm not sure. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps830dc16c.jpg I also have one with a plate the fits National rotary machines. It's about the same but with a different cover plate. |
