Yes, if you can't get to the one you want to sew on. LOL Bernina 750 for under $25, ofcourse you can not leave that one. I really enjoy paper piecing on my Bernina 830 vintage.

One can never have too many sewing machines. Wow! What a bargain on your Bernina! Congratulations!

I have over 30, probably close to 40 machines now, and DH bought me another yesterday. It is a 201, my third, BUT my first ever Singer with the blue 100 yr anniversary badge on it. It is in a Frankenstein case - Wood looking bottom with crappy plastic case top. DH says we can klook for a wooden case or cabinet for the machine. Both of the other 201s have issues foir which I have zero time right now so am hoping this one actually sews like the seller claimed it did. Long story for a short answer of "NO, one can never have 2 many machines." Besides a vintage Bernina for $25 would have come home with me too.

I have 8 and 2 sergers, and one toy singer. I almost sold one 2 weeks ago, a friend wanted my 99k, she even wrote the check and I was still not sure I wanted to sell it. Oh I hesitated, and then my dh pipes in, "don't sell that machine, you might need it". So apparently I don't have too many :)

I bought a Bernina Record 730 in 1969 .... and it still works good. I have only had it serviced once in all that time (light bulb went out); but I should take it and get it cleaned. The *fancy* stitches no longer work and it runs a little on the slow side. But within the past 6 wks. I have treated myself to a new Janome 6600 and a 1961 Featherweight .... now the proud owner of 3 machines!!! Loving every minute of being retired!!!
