You have a lovely new friend. Only thing to remember is to thread the needle from left to right. Usually they are very fussy when you don't do it right.

Have I been wrong for the last 50 odd years? I know that bad habit can become routine (I had somehow started to thread the bobbin winder on my Janome in the wrong direction).

I have had a quick look on the singer-featherweight website and they are threading from right to left, 'inside out', so I am wondering why you say left to right. Are there different models?
