I got this pretty today for under $200!! It has the original case that isn't in bad shape at all and all the other accessories are there too, except for the manual, but I ordered Dave McCallum's book so that should be ok too. It doesn't have a bobbin case but I have an original one from a 301 that got run over by a car and it should work..so excited I can't believe I finally have a featherweight and she looks so good even before her trip to the spa. Can't wipe the stupid grin off my face...lol

Woohoo! I'm so happy for you. If this is your first FW, you're gonna love it! I love both of mine

You are about to be hooked in the heart by this little beauty. I'm fortunate to have inherited both my mom's and my mil's plus gifted a third by a dear friend.

How lovely.

I was given a featherweight in 1962 for passing the 11+ exam. It was replaced by other machines as time went by and having retired I have now treated myself to another. I just love it and the memories it brings.

There has to be a story aobut running over a 301 in a car. That had to be nosiy.

I know being from Wisconsin that it is highly likely that alcohol would be involved but not this time...I came back from a class with a friend, I set the machine down on the ground and grabbed the rest of my stuff and she must have thought I had everything... I heard the trunk slam and before I could back outside she ran over my 301... It was really noisy and she felt really bad, it also flattened her tire... There was no saving the machine, but I did grab the parts that I could and saved them.... it worked out since the featherweight went cheaper because of it and I had the part I needed and I learned to always take my machine in the house first...:o

I love mine. It was my moms and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
