But since I posted it in another thread since joining and I have been looking around it looks like some of you here would enjoy this. new to me, just roughly cleaned her up and oiled her good. Still needs detailed and polished but runs smooth and quiet.

She is mounted int he old 27 treadle (sans drawers as the Previous owner used them to make a spice rack)

Absolutely it's vintage enough, and a BEAUTIFUL machine!

I think I need one of those... :)

I like it! What year is it?

greywuuf 04-02-2012 10:25 PM

I wish I knew. Serial number starts with a W and all the singer site gives me is they started using w in 1910. So I am unsure..... I gather they were only made for a couple years.......starting in 54?

Yup it is just enough vintage to be a fun machine to own.

She's very pretty.... you've done a nice job of cleaning her up.

Has a body shape similar to the 301 so it must be from that era. What is the number on the faceplate?

WOW, that looks like it is in MINT condition. Lucky you !!!
