Identifying Treadle Cabinet
 

Hi all,

New to this forum, so apologies if this would be better somewhere else. I have a few vintage machines, mainly Singer, though I have recently tried to research the first one I ever bought, a couple years ago. I believe it is a Singer 15 clone? It doesn't appear to have any identification on it besides the 'Peerless' name on the body, and I admittedly bought it mostly for the cabinet. However, if anyone happens to know anything more about this or could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!

Welcome to Quilting Board. What a stunningly gorgeous cabinet, no wonder you bought it for the cabinet.

The stitch length regulator is different from a 15 clone, but the rest of it is definitely 15ish. I can't tell if it has a feed dog drop on the bed or is that just the bobbin winder tension.

I couldn't find a pedal like that on a thread about treadle pedals, but they are basically North American pedals. It is strange that it doesn't have any other identifying marks. Most of the Japanese 15 class machines have some sort of badge on them. Sometimes they will have a JA or JC number cast or stamped on the base. I don't do Facebook, but wondering if https://www.facebook.com/groups/481946242243048/ would be of any help to you.

That should be decent machine. Many people enjoy sewing with a treadle.

You probably don't need a manual, but there is one for the 15 clone machines at http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...ion-manual.pdf That manual has a round stitch length regulator and a drop feed knob on the bed.

Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
After the pictures show up as being attached, you can close that window and go back to the screen to finish posting your post.
