Happy to find this site as I want to learn. I'm a proud owner of a treadle sewing machine New Glenwood by A. G. Mason Mgf. The serial number is 5025882 but I have not been able to locate anything about it. Any help is appreciated.

I tried to insert image of my A.G. Mason Mfg New Glenwood machine, but failed. My machine is very similar but "more used" condition.

you might want to try to reduce the file size to something like 640x480 if the file is too large it will not load

Oh my goodness, look at all the help you got this morning. Welcome to this board, and like someone said, this is only the beginning--my kids all say I have at least 100 sewing machines in my "collection". I just can't walk by and see a machine left sitting, especially at $10, no matter what it is or whether it works or not. Then I come home, and ask for help and get it from this board (even though they all holler at me to do a picture); and first thing you know I have another old machine up and going.

Hey,

We were all beginners at one time or the other. I'm still just a rank amateur myself! If I were independently wealthy, I'd be collecting a lot more of these vintage/antique machines, but I'm not, and besides I'd have to move out of my house to find a place to put them!

I started with a 1941 15 that my brother gave me. Four have been sold so I'm down to 18. The best thing I learned was how to post pictures. Now I can post success as well as pleas for help.

By the way, has anyone found a source for Chicago style plugs? They were used on White, especially the octagon table.

you might want to check the new "resources" sticky thread (thread that stays at the top of the list)

Help, I just broke my only needle! The universal needle I tried does not work. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Beautiful machine. It looks like mine, except mine says New Glenwood and worn more. I have not been able to post a picture.
