I'm a beginner
Happy to find this site as I want to learn. I'm a proud owner of a treadle sewing machine New Glenwood by A. G. Mason Mgf. The serial number is 5025882 but I have not been able to locate anything about it. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to a fun new hobby DWOODS! I am a relative beginner too but learning quickly! Sorry I can't offer help with your treadle but likely someone here will know something about it. I'd love to see pictures if you have them!

Yes, I will try to post a picture. And I am a beginner with that as well.

Sorry, I can't help you with information on your machine. I do own a Singer treadle that belonged to my deceased mother and on which I learned to sew, although I haven't used it in years. I just wanted to welcome you to this site from beautiful western NC.

There's a thread here on QB that deals with vintage machines. The folks that post there are very helpful. Welcome to the QB!

As indicated in what SteveH posted, you need to figure out who the actual MFG of the machine is - and many are White. Please post a picture and hopefully we'll be able to identify that for you. Once you know the actaul MFG, then getting information and supplies is much easier.
This is my AG Mason MFG machine, made by White and takes the same bobbin, shuttle, needle and attachments as other White made VS machines. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps1769b00c.jpg |
Welcome aboard! I'm new to this as well.
