Jangly/Clanking bobbin? Please help?
The bobbin on my singer 99-13 always sounds so jangly/clanky. Almost like metal hitting metal or the sound of a coin clinking when I turn the hand wheel to form stitches. What is causing this and how can I get it to stop? Thank you

Also I've changed it from an electric machine to a hand crank and it only seems to do this when I use the hand crank.

I got some silicone "bobbin washers" on Amazon that seem to help with the jangling. But I have an Elna machine...

Are you sure you have the correct bobbins? Here's a picture of what they should look like: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/2251832...apt=4itemAdapt
They're rounded on the top and bottom. |
Are you sure it is not the hand crank? Is the bobbin threaded correctly? I put some plastic tubing over the foam part to reduce the space in between the spokes.
