that is so neat! Even if it's not a Singer lol!

Singer was also very good about stamping part numbers all over the place, so that is another way to check if the more obvious things (like feed dog knob) aren't there.

It's not a Singer. Singer 15s did not have a feed dog drop knob on the bed. Once you've been at this for a while it gets easier to identify machines.

Cari

Oh, that's fascinating! I'll have time to dive in and read more after Christmas is over. This lead up to the holidays is insane, and the house seems to have decided to break on top of that - water heater thermostat, squirrels ate a hole in the house and were partying in the attic, sunroom heat pump gave up the ghost. Insanity reigns here!!

I did notice when starting to research old Singers, there were part numbers galore! That helped me find the right knee bar for the 128. Love the OCD part number thing!!

The ruffler is apparently very popular in the ballet industry and for costuming. People who make curtains also love it.

It looks very nice. I have unfortunately never needed a ruffle, but I have played around with the ruffle attachments that came with my Singers. You might need some ruffles for curtains or blouses in the future.

Yep. Costumers apparently love this. Very popular with NYC behind-the-scenes costume making folk
