I save the little moisture things out of my pill bottles and throw them in the drawer with my bobbins and needles as well as the thread drawers.

I saw a tip on storing sawzall blades in short lengths of PVC, the bottom being glued & capped, the top being a cap w/o glue. Not very vintage, though.
