Not exactly rare, but you don't see them every day either. A few months ago I went to look at a trapezoid cabinet for one of my 301s. Well, it's a trappy all right, but it's not a Singer cabinet. At first I was a little disappointed but it's a cool cabinet so I bought it any way.

Cari

It may be for a Pfaff 260, or about that same style. The hole gives access to the bobbin case.

We've discussed this cabinet on VSS and have come to the conclusion that it's a mid century modern unknown. Pfaff wasn't the only one to use the bobbin access hole and none of us could find another like it anywhere.

No. The front drawer is there. My 301 is a long bed so I'm not sure it will fit. I just sat the Rocketeer in it because it needed a place, but it doesn't sit down flat with the top. I'm thinking this is a good excuse to look for a short bed 301 :p

Hey! I just modified my Singer #74 trapezoid cabinet to fit my 500a... started a thread about it and thought it might be useful to you!
