Thank you.... aren't they pruddy!!!!!! DH is so sweet to me... he EVEN TOLD me about the garage sale with the " sewing machines" we figured it would be vintage , portable sewing machines..They also had a seiwng table , I wanted but my sewing area is too small for it... but DH( he's my angel-- and I have him wrapped around my little finger...smile) he even directed me to the sewing things and ENCOURAGED me to get all 3 pieces.... smile.... I"m SOOOO LUCKY to have him!!! Love u hubby!!

Very cool-unusual. Can't wait to see it cleaned up, especially since you'll be doing that with your feet, or your DH wrapped around your finger.

What a great gift. I would love to have one like that.

Deara 05-07-2011 01:31 PM

You are blessed with a great hubby.

Also a nice looking machine.

I think there are a couple other ones just like yours pictured here on the board.

SewExtreme has one I believe and there is one other.
Check Billy's thread, Vintage Sewing Machine Shop.

She sure is a purty one.

Blessings,
Sandi

What a beautiful machine. I see alot of happy hours of sewing in it's future. Enjoy it and the peace that goes along with treadle sewing. Mary

Very good find. Go online to the Singer web site and there is an 800 number that if you call them they can and will look up the serial numbers and tell you the year they were born and where. They are very nice and will answer almost any of your questions

nwm50 05-08-2011 10:31 AM

Great machine! Never have seen any with those embossed designs on it..very unusual. Happy sewing !!

buckeyed 05-08-2011 10:36 AM

The Singer website won't be of any help to Blueteddi, her machines aren't Singers.
They are lovely machines indeed. Treadleon.net is a big help for dating and learning more about treadle machines.
