Machine Info,

I'm new to this forum and was hoping to find some info on a couple of machines i just picked up.
The first is a New Home, all black, made in West Germany and looks alot like a Pfaff 130 or maybe an Adler from around 1950. There is a serial # on the deck under the motor; #1628839 I can't seem to find any info on this machine.
I also got a Necchi "Lelia 514" with a cardboard tube of cams and a box of attachments. this is a metal machine and I was wondering if it would be a good quilter? any info at all would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure how to post pics yet.
Thanks, Marty

Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan! There are so many vintage enthusiast here that I am sure someone will soon just right in and give you some help. I have a small interest but don't know anything about the machines you are talking about. Look forward to seeing you in the board. BTW to post a picture he advanced and go to manage Attachments. Follow the box that says choose files and then upload your pic. It is a bit confusing at first but once you get the hang of things its a breeze.

Most Necchis are good strong machines.

Eager to see your German New Home. I am very curious about it. PIcs here have to be very small

Welcome from Kansas.

Welcome, Marty. I'm guessing that the New Home probably looks like the one at http://tightacres.blogspot.com/2014/...ghouse-lz.html

Leon, what did you find out about the one you posted about at https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...ml#post7914890

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Found a New Home with a "Made in West Germany" badge on it. That was quite a surprise to me. Maybe you have seen this before, not me. Obviously not an ancient one.

Does that mean you just saw it and isn't in your possession?

That is what I am guessing 2 years later. I may have to dig deeper .
