My (our) first quilts made with vintage machines

I just posted a bunch of pics of the two quilts we made for my Aunts in AZ in the Quilts made with vintage machines thread.
{ http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...ml#post5884288 } Post # 1098.

I just wanted to make sure you all had a chance to see them. It's kind of nice to finish something like this.

Great job. like your 319. I also have a 201 and can't wait to sew on it. got it at auction for $10 with the cabinet, foot control and also the buttonhole maker. Glad no one else know what they were missing. Trying to get machine set up to quilt on grandsons quilts. have two with their pictures in the center.

That 201 is very easy to sew with. It amazes me just how non temperamental it is.
Ours cost us nearly 80.00 but we consider it well worth the cost.

How did you get pictures in the center of the quilt?

Nice to see the old machines getting used; good job you two!

Thanks for the pictures. Now, maybe I won't be so afraid to try it myself.

tenngal,

That was one of our problems too. Not having ever made quilt for others we were kind of paranoid about it. But it's not hard.
Kind of fun really. The biggest stress factor was that I wanted them done in time to send them out for last Christmas. But things just didn't cooperate.

Miriam,

Sorry about that. They were sized 640x480 and 800x600 and uploaded through the forums system. So I don't know what else I can do here. I'll email you the pics of the quilts though.

The quilts are beautiful! And, so are your machines. And you know what? The two of you using them and having such a good time--that is really beautiful, too.

Congratulations. Life looks good for you!
