I have 3 red eyes, but my best one isn't as good as that one. I wouldn't mind having one in that shape either. :D

I use cotton balls or cotton make up removing pads and oil to clean them. Go gently on those decals. We all but ruined the decals on my #1 red eye because we use cleaners such as Simple Green, and others before we knew better.

To make them shiny and help prevent wear I've used Kit car wax on some of them. Never use anything with any form of abrasive.

Girliegirl: So neat that you have one too AND it was your Grammy's! What a treasure.

I named her Nora because we just moved to Northumberland and the folks in the area call it Norry.

Hi.she is a very lovely 66 "redeye". Check the prices on Ebay. You got a terrific deal for a treadle. I paid that for a converted electric without a cabinet and felt it was a great price. Yours is better. Mine did have a bentwood case, but it would give you a hernia to pick it up. I am refinishing the cases and putting new decals on them. They look like fine furniture when finished. I really enjoy doing it. You will be glad you got this nice machine as they keep going up. Good job.
