Hi Ed, Welcome. I have become a vintage addict as of late. Have had my grandmothers 201-3 and recently got a White Rotary tredle and today a Singer 66 treadle and and that takes me to 6 sewing machines and 2 sergers and no more room. Loved your blog and look forward to all the information you have to offer the rest of us who are newer to this addiction.

Hi Ed,
I have read your blog from time to time. I am more of a lurker than a poster as my knowledge is severely limited but growing as my addiction increases. I have Singer, White, New Home, Domestic, Graybar in my older collection and Pfaff which is about 7 years old and a Bernina that is about 25 or so years old.

I helped my husband get that pin out..(it is a pin..not a screw) he was trying to pop it out with a small punch and it wouldn't go..I suggested that I hold the punch from the side facing the post or column of the machine and he tap it with a hammer..came out easy as pie that way. In other words he was first trying to punch it from the open area under the face plate and that did not work.. just opposite of the way you and he both tried first.

There is a screw or pin through the housing holding the lever but I it is so far down that I cannot see a slot to indicate it is a screw and I have not been able to drive it out, if it is a pin. Has anyone accomplished this should-be-simple repair?

Hi Ed, Alison here. I just found this board too while researching my Bradford. Seemed like a great place to learn more about her and maybe pick up tips about other sewing machine stuff. Nice to see a familiar-ish person. :thumbup:
