Thank you for your help everyone. Auntpiggylpn, I love the spades also! Barny, yes there are many knowledgeable people here and there is always someone who knows the answer, I learn alot from this place. I oiled the machine up and turned it every 15 min or so last night and today its working like a charm! I will check around for the Tri-Flow but Im sure Ill have to go to the next town over for it. If not Ill get it online. But thanks again everyone!

It took me a while to find Tri-flow locally. It is about 40 cents higher locally but that's ok. I go to a bicycle shop - they have all kinds of stuff in there!!! I got some kind of wet lube stuff worked for me on a rusty old machine - I do fear it will set up after a while - I'll have to remove it at some point.

That looks a lot like the Standard machine I picked up at a thrift store..It too is made in Japan at a time when Singer sold their patent to the Japanese. In the early 50s I have found out.
