Oh dear. And that was probably the highest drop in the city too. Get well soon.

Loved reading this! I have a Singer FW, which runs like a dream, a Singer 99K (it does need to be serviced), and a Wards Damascus Grand treadle, which I know works, but have no place to set it to comfortably open it up and USE! I also have my mom's Singer Golden Touch'n'Sew, and a couple of later model machines. My favorites are the Singers and the Damascus Grand!

I have been laughing so hard at the progression of this....CD, what if they were gold nuggets? I was envisioning vast numbers of nuggets being sent your way...well by the time they reached you they would be as hard as gold! Lol....gold is a soft metal I guess... :)

Were you serious Miriam? Sometimes your lovely dry humor tricks me in the posting format. So sorry if in fact you are injured!

Seriously... I'm in the hospital right now getting it re-xrayed to be sure it heals right. They have WFI at the hospital but not where we are camping. At least I'm not in a bunch of pain.

The fracture is healing nice. The sprain does best late in the day.
GOLD nuggets... LOL Post your address CD and we'll all send some.

Miriam,

I am so sorry you fractured your ankle! That's a tough thing to have happen! I've been there-- only mine was my wrist! Take care of yourself. I hope you're up and a bout pretty soon! I knew something was wrong -- it had been too long since I had seen a current post! Take care and God bless!

I'm up and about - just slowly up and about. The ankle is healing slowly, too. I'm not in a lot of hurt but I'm in a lot of swelling still. My boss has been sympathetic - hooray for sweet bosses.

We must have had an inch of snow since dark this evening - supposed to be more by morning. In Florida we didn't have to shovel even one inch of sunshine. :D
