I have old machines because my grandparents were tailors, my great grandparents were tailors, my great GREAT grandparents were tailors and I think that profession goes even further back in my family. Every machine that I own brings me closer to one of them in some way. Besides, they all sew so beautifully. Why would I ever want to pay all that money for a modern machine?

Seriously... I'm in the hospital right now getting it re-xrayed to be sure it heals right. They have WFI at the hospital but not where we are camping. At least I'm not in a bunch of pain.

I have my Maternal Grandmother’s only two machines that she ever had. A 1906 White VSIII Treadle that she got used as a wedding present in 1928, and a 1959 Singer 404 portable w/folding table that she bought new. CD in Oklahoma |
