I'm jealous! I learned to sew on a machine like this. We don't know what happened to moms machine she must have sold it when I was off at college. I'm looking for one. Enjoy yours!

Oh yes I have the disease. I have been bitten. asking for some help now. this is my bobbin case.
I have no repair manual. off the internet manual says under no circumstances must the screw be loosened that is on the right side. will some spirit come down and haunt me if I loosen it? there is also a spring next to that. is it going to go boing and go flipping out. I have to clean this part. is the only way in through the bottom? any suggestions on where I can get a repair manual? too many on the internet to know which one is trustworthy. I am going to sew with this guy :) and still this year :D |
I'm sorry thank you for all the good wishes. I was so zeroed in on trying to attach the photos that I forgot to thank you. I don't think I am going to have a room full of old machines. but this is deffinetly a great feeling.
Thank you |
Even though I just about had to stand on my head, this is just like the one I almost purchased at the Goodwill this past weekend but no cabinet and missing parts. Cheap replacement cord, no belt for $49.00. No guarantees and they wouldn't plug it in.

The best manual I know of is from Tools For Self Reliance: http://www.tfsr.org/publications/tec...achine_manual/ Here is an interesting video about TFSR: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/8021540.stm
