Well, the parts machine arrived last night (with the Wheeler Wilson #8 Handcrank)

The head is in great shape, the bonnet was broken because of poor packing.
(This morning the seller refunded my money for the bonnet)

It may look like it but this is not a 12, but it's big sister, made for sewing leather.

I could not wait and had to swap the part over from my working but less attractive Model 13

Since the V-Drive belt does not allow for the belt guard to be installed mine came separately, along with an extra back plate in a different design.

To remove the handwheeel, I used two slip wrenches and leather as an anti-scratch barrier

Here is the machine that has all of the "cast off's and missing parts consolidated into it.
(need to find this one a new home)

Did you find it a new home yet Steve? Interested if you haven't. Amy

Over the last couple days I have been re-gluing the lid back together...

If you look carefully at the top closer to the right side you can see a faint line.. that is actually a crack.

The head hit the underside so hard it cracked it before the lid separated from the top.

I did not want to risk further damage by trying to counter flex it so I used the gluing down and weighting the top process to do the best it can.

The face board that split also has a slight irregularity in the repair as well as the wood warped after splitting.

Should I decide someday to refinish it I will address a better repair.
