Singer 201 feed dog HELP PLEASE

I finally got a Singer 201. All the parts there, but a broken part with screws in a plastic bag. I thought "Thats ok, I can find one." The machine is in poor condition, but not near as bad as many I have seen here on QB. Well, the broken part is a feed dog. From piecing it together it has a number 45218, with an attached metal bar screwed on it with number 45215. I may be looking in "All the wrong Places", but I can't find that part. Has anyone ever had to order one or know where I can get one. I wanted a 201 so bad I guess I didn't do the reseach I should have, now paying for it. I appreciate any help from the experts on this thread.

Don't panic....there are many of these machines around. Have you checked EBay! Parts for these machines come up often. Others on here may be able to tell you if other models are interchangeable for that part. I am thinking yes.
This is never a Singer model to regret buying lol.

Thanks for your encouragement. I have searched google, checked ebay and several sewing sites, but so far 0. I know I have to have patience, but always have had very little. I did contact 2 people that I buy parts from occasionally, but they both said they have never seen a broken feed dog. I have to go to a concert now, but will check back Monday. Thanks

Thayerrags.com has vintage sewing machines and parts for sale. ThayerRags (CD) is also a member here. You might check with him too. I think we sometimes forget we have some excellent resources right here. He can't buy and sell here due to forum rules but you can check out his website.

I think the OP was searching using the part #. I just used 'Singer 201' in the search bar.

Glad you found the part! I was just ready to send you a pm, too, but Cari beat me to it! For what it's worth, I just inherited a 201, in very good condition cosmetically -- just a couple of things wrong, but easy to fix. I hear that the 201 is one of the best machines Singer ever made!

The Singer 201 is a full rotary hook gear driven machine. It had excellent reviews at the time of introduction and was described as one of the best domestic sewing machines ever made. They even have a good reputation outside your regular sewing circles.
