In the meantime, while you're waiting for it to come, you can try what I did with the 99. A piece of lino floor, cut to size and taped in place with painter's tape.

I suppose cardboard would work too, and I think I've also seen plywood used.

You could also use a piece of a CD cover. Cut it to fit and then watch the bobbin work as you sew.

Oh those are great ideas!! =)) my guy tried to make one out of a beer can! Well, he did make one. It just didn't make a difference! Perhaps it was not thick enough . . . . Watching it work would be too cool.
