If you have a cabinet like the opening poster (who hasn't been online since 2017) with a keyhole that looks like a skeleton key would fit, there is a parts list and the key is pictured at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/15...page=51#manual

I was looking at images for antique skeleton keys and found what looks like the correct key (the third one down) at https://fineartamerica.com/featured/...paul-ward.html

On attached photo you got the key and a screw driver of a size able to open a bent wood case as well.

We have tried quite a few times with screwdrivers with no luck yet, but thank you so much for the measurements, hopefully we'll have some more success now!

Welcome, hcgmurphy. Can you shine a flashlight into the hole to see if it has a rectangular or square hole? I have a Weed that had a square, but smaller than a Singer square. I used a square bit to determine the size. I had my brother make a square one to work on my sister's Singer machine from a skeleton key.

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of https://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f...d-t312607.html

I think I have attached the picture, its not the clearest, but its as close as I could get. I also lost the login details to the SOC account, but it is the same person. I managed to find (what seems to be) the exact key in the picture, so will try that out when it arrives.

Yes, that is definitely a skeleton key. I hope the one you found will work. I don't know if the parts list that I linked to will print out correctly. I know in the past that I have printed Singer Parts List pages and used it to identify some screws when I was working on my sister's 66-1. It looks like https://www.manualslib.com/manual/15...page=51#manual is a full size. Perhaps a locksmith could make one, if the one you get doesn't work. I have also tried to make a few for the bentwood cases. They don't look the best, but they do work. Actually, I think the one with the blue around the top was one that I had a locksmith make for me.
