A word of warning to buyers - I've seen a lot of sewing cabinets that had been "modified" because they no longer wanted to use it with a machine. Broke my heart to see a FW card table with the insert epoxied in place . . .

So it's possible at some point someone glued or screwed the top down so that you could not remove it, if they figured they'd never use it with a machine again. This top lifts off, there is nothing that holds it down. It does have a few wood stops glued on to keep from sliding around, but that is it.

The table I have does not have the lift in it. There are two different tables that were made. I will take a picture. I am thinking someone glued the two tops together...I hope not.

There was only one cabinet for the FW, it's the #68. A very, very few of them had the lift. There was also a card table made by Singer, several models for different machines.
