I think that's one of the biggest benefits of the internet. It's easier now than in any other time in history to make informed decisions about your purchases and it's easier than ever before to find whatever it is you're looking for.

And it's easier than ever to puff up inflated ideas by reading and soaking up mis information, lol. BTDT.

Usually appraisers will give you the insurance replacement value so you can find a replacement in the same condition. Not really the resale value or what it actually is worth. For example I have my sewing machines insured and the replacement value is really high. I would hate to have to find a replacement for my Grover and Baker or Weed in the great condition they are in. I may not be able to find them again so I carry insurance floaters on them just in case. I could never sell them for the insurance value of course.
