Small Class 15 Clone

Is anyone here familiar with these? There is one for sale on craigslist that I am looking at. They are asking way to much for it, but I just made an offer through email. I am only able to find this one article about them:

If you scroll down the page past the links for the manuals you can see an article about the Saxony. The one I am looking at is a Royal, but I can tell it's smaller than a normal 15 clone.

I know someone has posted about the class 15 machine they got that was a 3/4 size. It was really cute. If I stumble across one for the right price, definitely something I wouldn't pass up.

I have one 3/4 and a full sized one that you can see in my avatar - they both sew and FMQ a beautiful stitch!

OHHHHH! I love your machines. I had no idea you could get a 3/4 size in that gorgeous shade of blue(teal?) Do you have any other pictures you can share? I might be missing something, but even when I go to your member page I can't see the picture any bigger.

that is the thread I started when I brought the little 3/4 home - if you scroll right to the bottom there is a shot of her needle plate/bobbin cover - they must have just chopped off the plate from a full sized machine for the little'uns. lol

Thanks for the link JMCDA.

I just spent a lot of time on ebay and saw a bunch of 3/4 15 clones, which makes me feel happy, since that means someday when I have the money to buy one it won't be a struggle to find one.

I have seen a few since I got mine - they don't go for much around here - $40- $50 or so

I have one marked Alden. I think it is a very powerful little machine.

My Alden has a Kenmore motor and a really beat up foot control but the machine is in nice shape. I've been thinking I might put some better looking high power motor on it or else hand crank it - I bet it would treadle real nice. AND it takes the same big bobbins as the big sister 15 clone
