Hello, I am new to this group and have been gifted several old machines.
I would appreciate help in identifying them so I can begin to get them in better working order.
The first is a treadle marked with "Dutchess" and a unicorn decal.

Thank you for the pictures. I initially thought it was a Davis, based on the needle plate and stitch length on the bed. However, I didn't see any with the front inspection plate on the pillar. I then looked at the New Royal B and there are more similarities to that machine. Yours has a little different head shape than the one shown at http://needlebar.org/nbwiki/index.php/Illinois

Your machine is missing the thumb screw for the stitch length regulator.

Great looking machine. please be careful as you go to clean it up. Water will silver those gold decals so keep it , or water based products away.

Sewing machine oil an soft rags are the way to go.. Welcome aboard.

I found out the cabinet this "Dutchess" lives in is a Rockford #516, and has all the Greist attachments in the original case... even a ruffler! So excited to get this old girl going.

How do I identify the age on this treadle? My mom, aunts, and uncles remember seeing my grandma use growing up. She preferred this singer 15 style clone. I’m also wanting to learn how to use it as well.
She passed away a little over the year ago, my intentions are to re do some of the top layered wood to make it has when my grandpa got it for her. Any advice for will me be much appreciated and helpful.

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
After the pictures show up as being attached, you can close that window and go back to the screen to finish posting your post.
