|
i've seen one, but it was a very long time ago. are there little shelved inside the end panels?
|
This is so beautiful. I have never seen one like it and in really good condition.
Did you get it through E-Bay? I learned to sew on my grandmother's treadle also. I just loved sewing on it. Thanks for sharing. sandy14 |
I bought it at an auction in a very small town. Was a family piece.
Yes there are shelf pocket inside the "wings". You are supposed to be able to open the top and the machine pops up...the chain pulls the machine up. I adjusted it(chain) a bit after I got it but the machine is heavy and I did not want anything to get damaged. |
No, have not seen a cabinet like this - like it a lot.

I have a Damascus that raises with a chain, when you lift the lid the chain is attached to it and the machine and the front of the treadle will fold up for use.

Just to name a few would be the National Co and Davis Co. Is that a Minnesota A? Will you please post pictures of just the machine and of the area for the chain lift. Very nice looking machine! Congrats, and enjoy that beauty! |
