Well, at least they took pictures. Most of the time you get a 10foot away, in a dark room shot of what ever they are selling. LOL

This one is now being offered at a really big discount and it has hand painted Celtic designs too! Unfortunately, the only ones I've seen in my area have the applied Lotus decals :-(

This thread cracks me up! I stroll the Seattle/Spokane/Portland/Nashville/Birmingham/Huntsville/Toledo/Ann Arbor Craigslists daily and some of the ads just send me off laughing. Very rare! Good shape! Then the prices... oy vey!

He's had this ad up since April. I emailed him 2 months ago and explained to him what he had, and showed him photos of mine (in better condition) and a link to what I paid for it, as well as showing him several completed ebay listings, then told him he was out of his ever loving mind to think he'd get that amount. He replied to me that I liked to cheat people out of what these were worth. *sigh* some people never learn...and some people will never sell their items because they're too dumb to listen to anyone with common sense.

A person could turn that right back on him. "Hand Painted adornment" No...
People may perceive that as worth more though, if they don't know enough about that machine.

Looks like a "bleached" lotus / "Egyptian Green" to me:

or
http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...ic-decals.html - about 60% down the page.

Nothing on ismacs says it's a hand painted machine....

Yep. I sent him the ISMACS info and clarified the difference between hand painted and decals...and that it was NOT a st. pats day machine...it all went in one ear and out the other. Such a shame that crappy people possess such beautiful pieces of art and history.
