Other than the fact that the top is on backwards, and they left that flap on the right, and they were too cheap to buy 3 or 4 more inches of glass so that it was at least centered on the table, and they are dreamin' on the price, it isn't too bad. If they had left the other part of the top on, at least it would have been usable, unlike the folks that throw the top away and slap a piece of marble on the legs.

the only place that I can figure that those prices came from, the seller would really need to wash their hands afterwards....

Steve, I agree on your guesstimation of where the price comes from and them needing to wash their hands afterwards. :p

As well as that, he's looked up the serial number wrong. This looks like a VS2 from the 1890s. I looked up the number on mine wrong initially too, and thought it was an 1874. I'd missed a digit because there were 7! The no letter prefix machines go to 16,831,099 in 1899.
It's incredible to think that there were that many machines made and at the same time each one cost about 3 months' wages!

Oh my! Everything is backwards!

Steve,

Actually looks like nothing is wrong with this one except that the drawers are in backwards. Visualize yourself looking at it from the otherside and then have the drawers face the you.
