The potted motor one is for sale.

Well pooh..... Can't treadle a potted motor.

I just had DH look for the external motor 201 I though was there and he couldn't find it. He says there is a 15 with external motor and a bunch of clones. Maybe I had it wrong anyway. I have some kind of long bobbin - good sized and runs off a motor. I'm not sure what it is. Looks like it would be good for FM with that harp.
I wonder why the Amish guy wanted the ones with potted motors so bad? I wonder how he was going to make it work? Go figure.

Ok Cathy says she has done it http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...ml#post5183404 she shows the bobbin winder and info how to make the machines with potted motors treadle. I wonder if you can hang an external motor on them or hand crank - I have to look at the motor boss to see. I'm excited though - I have a bunch that have bad wiring. BUT there is a man named Rain who has a wonderful blog with a tutorial on rewiring them. http://vssmb.blogspot.com/

Well I have to say I "knew" there was a way it could be done, I have done many things that were more trouble thqn they were worth just because....... But, I think for me now it is a moot point because I am pretty sure I have found the last machine I can get away with for now.

I am going to look the one I asked elsewhere about. I thought it was a 201,
But I think instead it is a small industrial,
It is old, it is too expensive, and I think I have to have it. Love the table and it will be my first "Prussian" machine. So maybe someday I will have a lovely 201,
But for now I am going to take a 103.
