[h=2]1917 Singer Treadle Sewing Machine w 7 Drawer Quartersawn Oak Cabinet - $1200 (CUT BANK)[/h]

Stunning and rare 7-drawer tiger oak cabinet is in incredibly good condition. Most cabinets from this era have fewer drawers and far less of the ornate carving. There is a small 1/2" x 1/2" area on the top where a thin layer of the oak is lifting and may require gluing. It is not visible when the machine is out and it is hard to see when closed. Otherwise, the cabinet has only the most minor of cosmetic wear. The machine and treadle are in very good condition with minor wear to the paint and the Egyptian design features. There is a belt, everything appears to move properly and smoothly. Additional attachments included as seen in photos. Local pick-up is preferred, but we will be happy to allow you to arrange for a freight shipping service at your cost. Your actual shipping cost will depend on your location if you want the cabinet shipped AND this beautiful antique Singer treadle sewing caninet and machine would be shipped in TWO separate shipments. This is the only manner in which to ship a Singer Treadle machine. Shipping would depend on your location. Thank you Please call or email with any questions or additional photos. Text are okay as well. Pictures will be added shortly. |
Well, the $1200 could be if you wanted it to be shipped....

Dh stopped to look at at a cl featherweight today... It was listed at $150. No accessories, the paint was worn through to the metal with almost no gold left, it squeaked terribly when turning the hand wheel, and the bed was super wobbly. The guy was firm on the price because "this is a featherweight and I know what they're worth." sigh. it's only good quality was the box in decent shape and it had the bobbin case, but someone would be crazy to pay anywhere near $150 for it. He said he had 3 more people wanting to come look at it. It was listed a few days ago and the listing disappeared, then reappeared last night, so I imagine we aren't the only smart ones.

I beg to differ with the characterization of a 1952 Singer as antique. I was born in 1952 and I am vintage, not antique. And I am worth waaaaaay more than $500.

eeeekkkkkk I'm older than that

This is the funniest one I have seen lately!
http://lubbock.craigslist.org/atq/3068315837.html Since it comes with a manual, it is too bad the seller didn't take a look at how this "sewing machine" works. Dayle |
